ive noticed , when you look at the memory details in control panel it shows the same icon of a mini sd for both internal and external , tho partially covered by a translucent shape. this translucent shape is different... could this mean that the unit could be taken apart and put a larger memory card for the internal???

Well, my colleague recalls seeing green and blue together, but I haven't and can't seem to make it happen. You'd expect to see it if you have a message waiting and start charging, but... no. So, that would mean it's possible to display more than one color simultaneously, but probably not intended.

The RGB led is driven by an I2C chip (nickname njoy) which can do quite fancy effects, like ramps and periodic patterns but at the cost of having its own programming language (64 instructions max, iirc).
No IR, sorry.
