seems i have picked up a slight issue with the rtcomm stuff. i cant add msn accounts. the wizard goes thru the motions fine, but when i hit finish the account is not on the list.

never mind, it seems to be unrelated to ssu...

That'd be fanoush's bootmenu and penguinbait's bootmenu .deb.

Re-download and re-run the initfs_flasher and you'll be fine.

No improvement about flash performance on microb. I was waiting for that...

Someone up there must like me, because I had a no brainer upgrade and I'm happy with the faster speed of microb. Also, maybe it's because I haven't been paying much attention, but did the upgrade to the map software alter how the main roads, which you had to zoom in closer to even see, now stand out more, ( the main roads seem more obvious) whereas before you had to zoom in all the way or is that the way it's always been?

that is proprietary port but you can use flashblock to block all flash and then click on the flash if you want to load it

Strangely enough it didn't want to install automatically.
Tried it, said that I couldn't use it.

Sorry KJ, did not happen to me. I failed to notice any change wrt HWR.

Forget to mention the upgrade has been very uneventful, so far. Did not experience any of the problems in this thread. About product>2008.30-2.

I think the main problem so far has been with people (like me) who don't have enough space for the update. The install will just fail / crash / whatever and leave you in a partly-installed, broken state, often with no clear indication of what just happened or what you should do now. And since it can run out of space at different places in the install process, the failure can look quite different...

If your install fails, and it says (or you suspect) that there's not enough space, hunt around and delete / move stuff (like the demo videos, music, etc, documentation pdf files under MyDocs..., also as root, "apt-get clean" can give you some space) and then gain root and type "apt-get -f install" to see if you can carry on installing.

If you get kicked offline, and you can't get back on, and your install fails, you could be in big trouble... don't reboot! Anyone have any ideas how to get back online?
