First of all, I tested nitdroid earlier, and I concluded that it was unusable as of today, I thought that it was WAY to slow, and that my n810 must be to underpowered to run android. Then I read this article and later this one.

I then dusted of my n810 once more, reformatted the sd card, (a 1 gb this time) deleted the gigabyte swap partition, and created a 32 MB swap partition (the swap partition used to be 1 GB on its own on my last install) And voila, it's quicker and snappier.

Please drop the swap, android isn't designed to use swap, it will work for the built in processes, but it will actually be counterproductive with the apps you install on the device.

Also, where is the home button? It's not possible to end apps without this button:-P

And is it possible to use the lock switch as a lock button?

My n810 has a scandinavian layout, is there anything I can contribute so you can add a scandinavian language option on the physical keyboard?

Could the problem with storing time, and some settings be a permissions problem?

Great work by the way, I really like it:-)

great job dj_steve! hope you are enjoying the n900 as much as i am.

as android development progresses i'm sure it will be a great boon to the access of apps that we're able to utilise. i for one am looking forward to using android forex charting apps on the n900! would be great as there are no such apps available for the n900 yet.

keep up the great work!

Great work so far
As I'm sure you know, the Motorola Milestone / Droid uses the exact same SoC, graphics and all. Even if the SGX userspace part is closed source, I assume we could just "borrow" it from the Milestone's firmware?

Any chance i can just partition the internal memory instead, because i can't quite see the point in buying an sd card, with all the memory space available.
