flashing the os and the emmc are 2 different things, and not related...
after you flash the os, you wont be asked to flash the emmc.
i flashed 1.2 yesterday, just had to reinstall all my programs. I had all my conversations, documents, music, etc still in my device
So now after i do that. Can I restore the backup? or i can't because of a differ OS?

my contacts are missing after 2 days.
plus i couldnt save my contacts before hand.

Another new feature is the ability to call voicemail by pressing the 1 key for a period on the phone number pad. They have also included a voicemail icon which appears in the address book when voicemail number is set up. The Icon is semi transparent too!
Long press for blue keys is one of the best new features along with much improved battery life.
It is strange that these are functions built into the cheapest of phones and have been there for ages too!
However since upgrade I can't access OVI store, I am greeted with a message telling me to upgrade my phone! has anybody else had this problem?

i don't know if it was there before or not but i just found out that when you are using wifi and you open the media player you'll see all the computers connected to it and you can do network sharing from there.
kind of a short cut

flashed my phone (had to.....vodafone are useless) and upgraded to PR1.2 last night. Not really noticing much of a difference to performance.
I can access ovi store again, but there's hardly anything in there. far better off getting apps from this site directly.
has anyone out there had the WOW factor since upgrading to the new OS? any massive changes to the user experience?
