They are discussing possible spec reduction like removing 128 GB to 64 + SD since they can't sell enough devices for $830. (not sure if they are official employees or just some users)

If they reduce spec I think this device was not meant to be and the collection shall fail and/or the users should return their phones. Never reduce spec!

boo-hoo, was that extra 64GB cutting into their profit margin?

i'd probably be plenty happy with even 32GB+sd like n900 .. better than 8GB/16GB people get nowadays but not quite worth the 600usd+
better be a pretty good battery (as long as they dont "reduce" the return policy should they hit their goal)

i was wondering if they'd do another round or two of $600 pricepoint, i was amazed anyone was picking up the 2x700/830 packages let alone those $10k ones.

guess we'll see if the gamble pays off (would indiegogo risk letting the campaign lower their target $$ on such a high profile effort like they do on smaller ones?)

I don't get why people are saying that they won't get enough money in time. At the rate this is going they will probably get more than the goal.

That's is because they are most selling devices for 600-700 when their ordinary price is 830. Check the diagrams I posted earlier. They are boosting the sales, the question is if they can afford this boost in the long run...

If they do raise the 32M$ on sub-830usd pledges, I think Mark S. can afford to pay in a little of his own pocket change in exchange for his "cutting edge testbed" and the exposure/etc. he's already getting.

maybe even pick up some of that goodwill they'd left behind

I doubt he do that which is sad since he has lots of cash...

It's slowly fading when now the 1250 $625 are gone.
