I couldn't get it working with T-Mobile USA, then I realized what the problem was: I had defined my own DNS servers in my T-Mobile Internet access point. After I changed them to auto, it works! These are the settings I use in fMMS:

Access point name: wap.voicestream.com
Username:
Password:
Proxy: 216.155.165.50
Proxy port: 8080
MMSC: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
are you using a apn set up with fapn or are using the mms apn that comes automatically with the latest version of fmms

0.9.8 aka "really, the config dialog works now..." released!

* list of choices instead of numerical input for resize
* doesnt force the usage of 'z_fMMS-APN', override by setting gconfkey manually
* only shows config dialog on first launch if settings fields arent populated
* only shows SMS PUSH notification if MMS download fails
* Forward works even if there is no attachment
* added some cgi.escape() for listview
* dialog asking if you want to disconnect when in polite mode and clicking a new mms in gui
* config dialog unsets proxy settings correctly now

Problem with fMMS? Run in x-terminal: cp /tmp/fmms.log /home/user/MyDocs/
After that you'll see fmms.log in filemanager or when you connect the device to your desktop as a mass storage device.
E-mail the log to me, if you don't have the email address, drop me a PM. Thanks!

Neither, I just use my normal T-Mobile Internet access point. I don't have fAPN and I don't see "MMS" access point anywhere. The info I put is what I entered into fMMS. I'm using havoc mode.

Is there a way to still change the resolution to a bigger size? I like using 1024 pixels, but your large is only 640. I would use original, but my original is over 2000.

A current workaround to get closer to my size is to use fMMS via service first. Get fMMS configuration to use Original size.

Choose your photos from maemo. Share via MMS service. Choose to resize to large, which will bring it to 1280 pixels. When fMMS sends it out, it sends out the maemo resized picture. fMMS itself will not do the resizing.

Here a MMS is limited to ~90K.

Hello again,

Since 0.9.5 on I haven't been able to send or recieve any MMS. I am connected to Vodafone New Zealand and believe that I am setting up correctly.

VFNZ does not use a password or a proxy and auto retrieves IP address. In the APN configuration I can only enter an APN and MMSC the remainder of the fields are blank.

Connected to my computer, I cannot find any FMMS log?

The older versions worked perfectly for me as I directed FMMS toward the connection (VF MMS) that was sent to me by my provider.

gconftool-2 -s --type int /apps/fmms/img_resize_width 1024

There's no telling what happens to the configuration dialog when you do that though, but you should be fine, I hope

Easy way to make sure you have all settings correctly is open first the "VF MMS" access point in "internet connections", go through all the settings and note em down, and then do the same for "MMS" and make sure they match

To get the log to show up you first need to run the following from the terminal (will the device is not plugged in via usb):
cp /tmp/fmms.log /home/user/MyDocs/

Works! Although, my MMS APN-Settings were wiped, but I think this was something else. Anyway, I configured it again and was able to send MMS without any problems.

Thanks frals!
