yeah some of us have been a bit preoccupied.
is there a summary of the best bits of this thread?

(in general i would love that - have a mechanism for moderator/interested party to mark the best posts out of a thread for later digest)

If your trip is work related you should have access to your email, so you could probably updating by NSU, because OTA update won't be likely anyway... even if you never installed anything from Extras-devel.
