I NEVER BACKED UP MY DATA NOR DID I REMOVE MY ZAGG SCREEN PROTECTOR. I HAVE LOST ALL MY DATA WHICH WAS MY FAULT BUT I AM VERY ANNOYED AT HAVING TO FORK OUT AGAIN FOR THE SCREEN PROTECTOR. THE NEW PHONE I NOW HAVE HAS ISSUES WITH THE DESKTOP WIDGETS AND MY CAMERA IS NOW A PATHETIC OUT OF FOCUS BLURRY IMAGE NO USE TO ANYONE TYPE NOW.. MY WARRANTY COVERED ME FOR THIS ISSUE BUT COULD NOKIA HAVE A DESIGN FAULT ON THERE HANDS AND WILL THIS MEAN ALL THE N900 PHONES USB PORT ARE DOOMED TO FAILURE?

Whelp, add me to the casualty list... sigh.
And buying it on the grey means no warranty for me D:
Any aussies out there that've tried to claim warranty or found somewhere to repair it?

I think that the poll needs to be either updated, re-opened or removed. It's rather misleading and doesn't count the recent surge of USB port issues.

i went to nokia care but the phone wasn't released yet here in australia and they said it might take around two weeks for the parts to arrive.
now its like 2 months and i too went back to nokia care few days ago they said the same thing... don't have any parts...

I filed off my USB plugs before I ever inserted them, and I try to look after my N900, but it does have a few scuff marks. I have never yanked the USB lead out, or dropped it while the USB lead is plugged in, so these scuff marks are nothing to do with USB, but I worry that if I have a USB port problem in the future, Nokia might think the marks are something to do with that.
