Here's an interesting stand. The Arkon stand:

I personally prefer something a little less elaborate, but this looks interesting.

... on second thought, I'm going to get a protective case/stand for the device. The thought of dropping this thing and having the glass shatter (and yes, Gorilla Glass does shatter) sends shivers up my spine.

Now, to find the right case!

I've been hearing that the z4root utility used to root the Tab has been removed from the marketplace. For all those still looking to root their devices in the most painless fashion, you can find the download here:

Does anyone care to share battery saving tips? I'm curious in how to maximize battery life.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is cool and well done, but I could get a Viliv n5 or Viliv s5 for the same price and it would have pretty much the same battery life. I just don't see the point.

Doesn't that have a much smaller screen? So you would be missing out of one of the huge benefits of the Tab which is viewing videos and web pages on a beautiful screen which is probably at the optimum size for portability and media consumption.

Here's a review of the Viliv N5. It's quite an interesting little device, but in a different league altogether than the Tab. For a tiny laptop, though, this is a novel device.

Of course, your preference will determine which you'd rather have!

Here's one guy that doesn't mind holding the Tab like a phone:

Well the screen's of the Vilivs have the same screen resolution and fit in your pocket easier, there is 7 inch versions of the Viliv devices. I can typically find a 16gb Viliv for 400-500 dollars or 32gb Viliv 500-600 dollars. Though they do go around the same price if you want 3g.

Can't watch the video at the moment as I am browsing on N900 but is it possible at all to use the Tab in the way you would use a phone? I know JKK was doing that at start of his review but assumed he was just fooling around. I have always thought you can't use the Tab like a phone because there is no mouth piece so you need to use speakers or a headset. Isn't that the case?
