thanks for the input! i've found that it's easier to run the game on a PC and configure the keys the way you want and then transfer the config file to the N900.

what i mean is that dosbox keyboard mapping doesn't map properly to the n900. for example, i can't press any of the blue buttons on the n900 for input into dosbox by default. e.g. i press function + q expecting to get "1" in dosbox but i end up getting 2 key inputs. so i have to do quite a bit of remapping of the default setup.

Haha, no worries. Now all I want is a working mouse, or I'd settle for mousekeys in windows 98 so I can use arrow keys.....

Hello.

I'm going to purchase a Game Gripper to play NES/SNES/.../MAME games.

I'd like to play DOS games with DOSBOX too, but there's a problem: many games don't allow to map the keys (for example Prince of Persia 1 and 2) and I need to do it to play with Game Gripper.

Yes, I can map the keys with -startmapper but this changes the keys for "the whole DOSBOX" not only for Prince of Persia, so if I want to use the "d" key as the "RIGHT" key in Prince I couldn't write "cd prince" to access the directory.

I've seen that there's a DOSBOX port for PSP that has a command (INPUTMAP) which allows to remap the keys for every game. The best form to explain it is with an example:

To configure the keys ONLY for Prince of Persia you have to create a file "prince.bat" like this:

Code:
@ECHO OFF
cd prince
INPUTMAP up up
INPUTMAP right right
INPUTMAP down down
INPUTMAP left left
INPUTMAP cross rshift
INPUTMAP circle space
INPUTMAP start enter
INPUTMAP select esc
INPUTMAP exec prince
Is possible to add the INPUTMAP (or anything similar) option to DOSBOX for N900?

I hope you could understand me, I'm Spanish and don't speak English often.
Thanks.

Stupid question - how can I access N900 menus while in Dosbox? I had to kill Dosbox with the power button to leave the game (1830, which seems to work well).

isom, you can launch the game from Dosbox config file. Just add cd prince and whatever to the autoexec part of the config file.

I've done it. It's not the perfect solution but at least I can play.
