The Win or Alt button might work (in "..." menu)

@ugurcan:
If you're not afraid of messing with the config file, open
/home/user/.config/Presence VNC/Presence VNC.conf
and delete the lines under [hosts].

Edit: Corrected path. Too late anyway...

Hi,

I'm trying to connect to my Win7 machine using TightVNC Server, and Presence Viewer on n900.
I saw that user Techie was able to connect to his/her Win7 machine, so I wonder if they're still around and could help with this? Or if someone else could.

I'm new to Win7, it's a brand new pc, and I've found some of the networking to be weird already.

On my Vista machine, I used to run RealVNC and view that fine from n900, but I didn't like the viewer much as it's slow and not great for touch screens.

So here I am, failing to connect.

I can ping the pc fine.
I got this in XTerm:

~ $ presencevnc
--------------------- trying init ---------------------
"ConnectToTcpAddr: connect"
"Unable to connect to VNC server"
about to quit
"Server not found."

Any help would be most appreciated.

Nicola

My best guess is firewall.

If you can ping from N900 and can connect to itself from localhost, check for firewall and TightVNC server allowed IP list.

Unless libVNCclient(which Presence VNC uses) starts supporting it, it's rather unlikely.
