"Unwarranted" or "warranted" jokes, sometimes theyīre funny and sometimes theyīre not. Lets leave it at that.
Crude jokes without paying mind as to who is in your company is extremely rude. I think it's entirely fair to expect better from this forum, certainly a higher level of discussion than say, 4chan or some other anonymous forum.

It's even worse when the rudeness is followed by more rudeness, especially to someone who has apparently been a member for years longer.

PC is completely sterilizing human interaction these days.
This isn't PC. This is expecting a level of decorum and propriety on an international message board, and suddenly finding it filled with rude, inconsiderate people.

Well if you are overly considerate of "everyone" on a open website such as this you get a very sterilized atmosphere. Iīd even go so far as to say that it would be extremely bland. There is always at least one "sensitive" person in the crowd that needs to be packed in cotton for safeguarding.

These people made reference to the scam emails most other countries receive from Nigeria. I donīt think anyone necessarily expects bigbrova to be sending those out personally, but thatīs probably what people think of when Nigeria comes to mind. And that is entirely up to the Nigerians themselves to change.

Good to see people rushing to the defense of people who tell stupid jokes, and respond to criticism in a rude, disrespectful manner. Makes me wonder how many people left this board since the N900 was announced.

Whatever

It was a silly little joke and this whole discussion is rediculously touchy feely. Over-and-out.

Icelanders get made fun of for the banking collapse all the time and rednecks in the Southern US for well, being rednecks. Swedes make fun of Finns and Norwegians. Danes make fun of Swedes, Icelanders and Norwegians and on and on and on it goes. No big harm.

Please do not judge the Maemo community by what is going on in these monster threads. There are quite a few spoiled children in them that were never taught patience and respect for others. Not everyone, but some. Things should clear up quite a bit once the device is released and people go back to their lives or other interests (toys).

If you read in the comments below they state
"qrpkgrl (1 week ago) It cost me nothing, and it's not out yet - It's a review unit, and I only get to keep it for a few weeks. "

You're going to get buried by the people you're talking about, but, wholeheartedly agreed.
