I for myself tend to believe zehjotka and think there will be the QWERTY device buyable by normal consumers like us. Also he does seem to have real insider knowledge. He was the first to claim that the one who leaked the Teaser will be in trouble. The other guys said the same thing about the trouble with the leak later...

i dont know about KB/nonKB for a fact however it would stand to reason for a discerning human that:

Advertisement: Keyboard, the relevancy of the timing isnt, hearsay about the resolution and the dates are all subjective due to the variable nature of the state of the HW used to film the commercial
FCC Filing: Keyboard
August Leak: Keyboard
Conversations Acknowledgement: "Jessie's Girl": Keyboard

so until dsmobile takes a photo (guaranteeing most of you dont even know where the keyboard-less rumor started). and can supplant ALL of the evidence thusfar to the contrary, stfu about not having a keyboard.

theres NO reason to propagate all of this NOISE!!! sti back and wait for goodness sakes...

it has one, period.
I know where the keyboard-less rumor started, I'm also a regular Nokia lounge thread reader

That's why I was overwhelmingly suprised and happy about the FCC filing of RM-680 and even more about the teaser, because I always wanted a QWERTY device, but already had given up hope after dsmobile's hints...

any proof?
ANY???
see the leak (whether it was a leak or whether it was intentional teasing be as it maybe) & the RM-680 specs on the FCC site seems to indicate it will have a keyboard.
and if it was only a developer device to be distributed to a select few in SF, why would the leak be a problem? about 999 % of the ppl who would be interested in it won't get one, anyway.
so why take it off line again?
the videos would come out next week, perfectly legally on youtube, by those lucky few who got one, giving all the details away.
what f#cking difference does it make whether the video was leaked a week earlier or @ all?
none, which so ever!
thus
FCC certification + (leaked ~ teasing) video = consumer phone

and if Maemo remains (remotely) true to itself, it will be possible to download the original firmware & flash it back on the device any time one wishes to.
or flash a different kernel, for that matter.
or install LostDOS se7en Paralysed on it, if one wishes to.
& it should also be possible to flash a HE (Hacker Edition) on the previous device (aka N900), unless it gets an official upgrade (which i think it was rumoured to get)

i don't have any insider informations, simply been playing around w/ my N900 for a year now & been using NOKIA devices for over 12 yrs.
from what Rich Green said about the MeeGo device & strategy, there is no reason why this shouldn't be possible
(dixit: «[...]as we evaluate the feedback from MeeGo we are going to consider that feedback and the technology therein for inclusion in our you know next generation technologies or platform technologies that we talked about»)
does that sound like they want to exclude the Maemo community & its contributions? or even only limit it to a bunch of guys who happen to have been in the right place in the right time?
not to me
