Well if you are overly considerate of "everyone" on a open website such as this you get a very sterilized atmosphere. Iīd even go so far as to say that it would be extremely bland.
There is always at least one "sensitive" person in the crowd that needs to be packed in cotton for safeguarding These people made reference to the scam emails most other countries receive from Nigeria. I donīt think anyone necessarily expects bigbrova to be sending those out personally, but thatīs probably what people think of when Nigeria comes to mind. And that is entirely up to the Nigerians themselves to change.

I disagree with. you can still have a forum where everyone respects one another, another and it would still be a great place. I am also a member of the Ubuntuforums, archlinux, fedora and kde forums. This are some of the most active and interesting forums you can find anywhere. Yet people respect each other. Dont cast out of context insults at one another in the name of ***jokes**. Its maemo talk should be as such. This is suppose to be a very friendly community. Its should be a place were we can come interacts learn, socialize ( at least not have insults poked at you). Sure its an open forum. But we need to have a standard on what is acceptable and what is not.
Dude what does that have to do with my initial comment. every country has its sore spot, and perceptions people have about them. does that mean we should all start poking fun at every post its citizen make in a forum.? I made a post about my order be canceled. he saw from my profile i was from Nigeria and that was it. It shouldn't have to be that way mate. every country has got sore spot. I am not here to defend Nigeria ( I have not even done so because that is beside the point)
I come from a region where all our means of lively hood farming and fishing are totally destroyed by the operations shell and exon mobile. but you will see me hold every Dutch citizen responsible for the actions of shell? If you feel that its justified then I rest my case. I have made my point known anyway

There are not nearly enough moderators on here to handle the surge of, well, stupid that seems to have followed in the wake of the N900's announcement.
Sad to see long-time members get pushed around by the immature and insulting.
