there will be an official announcement for the successor of the N900 and maybe (MAYBE) a somewhat indicative schedule of when to expect it in the shops. let's hope it won't be as long as w/ the N900
otherwise, it'll very likely be the last Maemo / MeeGo device from NOKIA
which i'll get, anyway

what come at the press conference, only the announcement of Moblin+Maemo= MeeGo
Nobody else on the net reported such thing.

There certainly was huge Maemo device thread(one of them trying to decide would openpandora get out before Nokia's fremantle device). Most people where expecting RX-51 or RX-71 to be tablet but me and some other brave souls insisted it to be phone

My recollection was that it was leaked before Nokia World (which was September), i.e. sometime in August, not just before Maemo Summit (which was October 2009).

they really was not interested in marketing it at all, they gave all stream time to N97 Mini.
