One of the ideas I've been exploring with the 7" touch book concept is it's use as in car entertainment. And that's an idea I will likely explore when I get my review unit. Imagine taking one of these and putting it in your dash (I won't actually put the review unit in the dash for fear of damaging it, but I can make a setup that approximates this configuration) and see how it would work for such a setup. If it works, I might install one of these permanently in a new car I got.

Seeing the pandora video running amiga emulator at 100% makes me all fuzzy inside. Looking forward to play all the old games "on the road" with the touch book.

hot off the press (e-mail answer regarding video out):
The Touch Book does not have an external monitor port. However, it will support the various USB-to-VGA adapters available on the market, which you can use to connect your Touch Book to an external screen.

I remember them mentioning it in that demo video on their site. I watched it a while ago. I tried to play it again yesterday but it froze in the middle, didn't try it again.

If you go to http://www.alwaysinnovating.com/touchbook/ and click LEARN MORE, the specifications specifically state:
  • 9.4" x 7" x 1.4" for 2 lbs (with keyboard)
  • ARM Texas Instruments OMAP3 chip
  • 1024x600 8.9'' screen
  • Storage: 8GB micro SD card
  • Wifi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth
  • 3-dimensional accelerometer
  • Speakers, micro and headphone
  • 6 USB 2.0 (3 internal, 2 external, 1 mini)
  • 10+ hours of battery life

Among the info above, you'll note the portion about USB. Also note that in their new advertising page, they DID note that they decided to change the microSD slot to a full size SD slot. Also.. PLEASE take a look over http://www.alwaysinnovating.com/touchbook/faqs.htm for a lot of the details that have been brought up in this thread.

Yes, but that only tells us how many slots there are, not how many of them are empty.
