Your high standards should lead you comfortably into an ipod touch, where you can sneer at the philistines who actually educate themselves about a purchase before making, and where improvements can lead the device down an 'unadvertised' path. The community there will welcome you with open arms, and you can chortle knowingly with the rabid community about how we can't possibly know what we want to use a computer for since Steve didn't tell us.

Here's hoping another *can* find use in mine, I still think some of you guys should have posting suspended for some of the things you said about me.
And I think you should stop pissing and moaning, but that's probably not going to happen. I've enjoyed your myopic view of how wrongly you've been treated, all the while flinging insults and silently hoping some mod would come in and cradle you. With your unrealistic expectations of both computing hardware and interpersonal communication, it's a wonder you don't run for office. I bet you're a blast in person.

But I guess your circle-jerking is a true testament to how corrupted with ignorance a community can become. Bravo regulars and your carte-blanche permission to hate on your terms.
We don't hate everyone. We don't even hate newbies. We hate idiots a little, but a little effort on their part and we'll welcome them with open arms. It's only for the idiots who clearly wish to remain idiots that we begin the circle-jerk. Stand in the middle and be amazed.

Everything I've said is both true and accurate.

"With your unrealistic expectations of both computing hardware and interpersonal communication, it's a wonder you don't run for office."

Where does anyone expect a statement like that to get them?

"circle jerk" is not nearly as damning as a directed insult or hateful personal speculation.

"biggest dick" is exactly that and I said it to call out what was amongst some of the first responses to my thread. Before even my second entry in this thread.

Stop being so creative and having a - yes - circle jerk about it. I'm seeing here the most typical kind of internet bullying. Most of the hecklers here fit the stereotype perfectly.

I challenge everyone here to prove that I was rude first, you'll find that I wasn't. I simply stated the truth in a way none of you appear capable of handling it.

You know what they say about people who fling accusations as wildly as most people here have. The most profound I've seen so far is the pedantic armchair psychology. Especially when we're talking about "buyer's remorse".

People here appear to have formed a xenophobic support group around it. If all of you put as much effort into admitting you're wrong as you do misconstruing what I say inventing reasons to call it all an insult, this thread would float down.

The desperation in this feeding frenzy speaks volumes.

the entire notion of your original post is comparable to visiting a McDonald's message board and stating that

"Big Macs suck because they don't come as big and juicy as they appear on the menu board..."

EDIT:
the only difference is that a big mac doesnt have a 15 day return policy.

Yes. A $400 big mac. A $400 big mac that comes in a box saying it can do things that it practically can't. Even when compared to larger or equivalent devices in the same price range!

The hecklers will say "Well then why did you buy it?!"

The answer to that is: Because I never buy something with the goal of being disappointed. The mere suggestion of that is kind of absurd. I simply have reasonable standards of responsiveness that most here don't.

I can't believe the culture of mediocrity everybody here forces on themselves.

There's a gigantic difference between doing something and doing something in a practical and useful way. This is called suitability for purpose, something the N810 by box definition and sheer price alone cannot fulfill.

Eat your mud, but don't get so upset because I don't want to eat it too. Nobody here has grounds to say I'm wrong - at all. $400 tempered by marketing says I decide the expectations, not you.

I would generally expect a person so well versed in psychology to know that the first statement of yours that I quoted above is very problematic.

If one makes a statement in such a way that no one in the audience can understand, comprehend, or otherwise "handle", then it's highly unlikely that the error is with the audience. It is possible, but highly unlikely. More likely is that the one delivering the statement is in error.

Practically failing is succeeding, so Internet Tablets succeed at the tasks their packaging claims they can accomplish, but they don't succeed by a wide enough margin?

Why don't you answer that question in detail?

And you haven't asked yourself that question from your first post? And, even after selling the device and having nothing more to contribute, you're still here posting irrelevancies and insults.

"circle jerk" is not nearly as damning as a directed insult or hateful personal speculation.
Gradients of scale in egregiousness with regard to insults is hardly universal.

"biggest dick" is exactly that and I said it to call out what was amongst some of the first responses to my thread. Before even my second entry in this thread.
And you feel justified in making it? You aren't drawing parallels here? And still can't understand why I'm being a "dick?"

Stop being so creative and having a - yes - circle jerk about it. I'm seeing here the most typical kind of internet bullying. Most of the hecklers here fit the stereotype perfectly.
I'm still really enjoying you attitude of blamelessness and look forward to a continued discussion on a board devoted to a device you no longer own.

I challenge everyone here to prove that I was rude first, you'll find that I wasn't. I simply stated the truth in a way none of you appear capable of handling it.
So you didn't intend to be rude, but a large proportion of those reading it feel it was. But it isn't your lack of communication skills, it's everyone else's fault. It reminds me of the media rational immediately following 9/11: "They hate us for our freedoms." Both attitudes reflect an almost pathological inability to see any point of view but your own.

You know what they say about people who fling accusations as wildly as most people here have. The most profound I've seen so far is the pedantic armchair psychology. Especially when we're talking about "buyer's remorse".
er...ok

People here appear to have formed a xenophobic support group around it. If all of you put as much effort into admitting you're wrong as you do misconstruing what I say inventing reasons to call it all an insult, this thread would float down.
The experiences of many new users to this forum flies in direct contradiction to your statement. To state it more plainly, the difference is you.

Your continued need to exact an apology or admission of guilt from any person on this board is really amazing.

The desperation in this feeding frenzy speaks volumes.
It does, but you don't seem to be hearing it.

Omega I've seen plenty of helpful posts in this thread with people asking you questions about your n810's problems and trying to help you fix them. Why do you only read and reply to the "offensive" posts? And if nobody else finds their internet tablets nearly as unresponsive as yours and with any gps problems why do you insist "all n810's are defective by design"? You expect everyone here to just agree with that statement?
