Wouldn't it be possible to port Visual Boy Advance (http://sourceforge.net/projects/vba/) to Maemo 5? As far as I've heard, it is the best GBA emulator at the moment.

Vgba is incredibly resource hungry. You'd be much better off porting gpsp

Once he does port everything to arm it would be a piece of cake installing it on the N900. I should ask the guy if he's planning on porting it to gles since he only mentioned open gl.

I do hope we get this going, I can't wait to just be able to save stuff. I mean, I had the vbag emu for n95 n that ran better than vgba. I wouldn't know what to do with source code or anything like that though =/ anyone got any ideas??

I have no problems with saving games.. Either a quick save from vGBA or a internal save in the game works fine.. But let's hope he will port it anyways, vba-m has some more features

Any ideas on if and when an alternative GBA emu will be available? VGBA runs far too slow and the sound is awefully

Probably when someone has the will to pick up the project.

Please can someone do it!
If someone can create a realistic virtual keypad (so it has buttons like the gba on each side) i will actually pay someone to sort this out!

surely it couldnt take too long and im not the only one offering donations. Shouldnt start things if you dont intend to complete it!

I'm going to try and email the creator of vba-m asking him about the ARM port and sourced code and hopefully he will reply.

Also who would you want virtual keys when you have a physical full qwerty on your device? (or are you using the N800?)
