i believe all are in one. the problem is, some are unable to download them all, i installed this app through xterm but i see 1 or 2 errors or failed packages, but still the app is installed.

Most of my media streamed from a media server (any) does not play on my N900 It always comes up with "Unable to Play Media. Audio codec not supported"

Is there anything we can do to fix this? I do have the Extra decoders support installed.

In my case I did: sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get upgrade in x-term and it was installed.. Actually, I was just playing with x-term and now I see ppl having problem with this while installing extra deocders support... However, I'ven't yet tried to install the extra decoders support yet...

Did you run these commands as root?

For me they do not do anything as root (sudo apt-get update) and if I try to run them as user, then xterm asks for password.

I have the above mentioned problem in upgrading the Extra Decoders Support, unable to instal because the conflicting gstreamer packages.

You should run them as root but without the "sudo".

D'oh!

Such a stupid mistake (and wasn't the first time I did it).
