Integration with myContacts will be fully functional from next release of FastSMS (hope this evening). MyContacts have already the code for manage what you said but i have to do some change to mine.
In future version i will put also an option to disable "FastWrite" system, but i think that it is not so immediate to implement so i prefere focus on it more later!

I don't know what could be faster than typing with the physical keyboard But still, this looks quite impressive. How well do the buttons on this app "react" to custom themes? Do they look OK?

One thing that makes it hard for me to use:
In order to type in a new word, you have to slide out the hw keyboard (and thus, turn back to landscape)? Or did i just not see where the on-sreen-button is? Many of words seem to be missing from the dictionary, so i'd be adding many new words initially, but this is inconvenient enough to cancel the convenience of being able to type with one hand....
