I am reading that the dual boott is coming but not for the consumers. What does it mean exactly? That I am not allowed to install Meego on N900?
Some people is allowed and some is not?

it might mean that there's an upgrade only option for non-developers.

but then, how are the installations going to be controlled anyway?

best news i had since i broke up with my girl friend, don't get me wrong i like having more than one OS .
ok ok ok, pr1.3 is coming people, a changelog would be great now, i hope they put some of the software tweaks the awesome people here worked hard for, matan's and mAG's modified hildon desktop and home, maybe some cool fast transitions like the black plastic ones, more than 4 homescreens, the swappolube changes,.... really the guys here did one hell of a job and we shouldn.t just forget it .
now back to the point, well.... i have to say thank you nokia, i was defently going for another than nokia phone for my next phone, no i'm not gonna leave nokia for good, well i guess we didn't understand what nokia ment with 'we won't be supporting the n900 with meego' , they ment we will guive meego, and we will pay a meego team to port it on your n900, just make sure we aren't responsible for anything that might happens, well i'm very fine with that (i already overclocked, tweaked every file and..... ). pr1.3 is what i love to have, i know that the n900 felt like having a fresh ui after pr1.2, so some bug fixes, a new ovi store, (maybe ovi maps, no flash, we will get it in meego or froyo !), maybe a better video capture, some things that can make the n900 even faster , if thats possible .
people get ready to be spoiled with **** loads of awesome official apps, get ready to taste the mobile future (meego), we can proudly say that we have the best phone in the world, all the android ishits and.... can look up to us, as always.....!
just one advice to nokia, make sure you have some phones in stock, because people wants to taste meego, or if you got a full portrait mode...

Flash 10.1 might buy from ovi store. This might only way to get flash for N900.

N900 is developer hardware. Best joke.

It means that it will be available but the average person will not want to use it, as MeeGo is not ready for primetime yet. You will, however, be able to set yourself up to boot MeeGo very easily should you want to.

When they say not for consumers they mean the n900 won't be sold with meego for consumers...

i actually posted that back at nokia discussions, and PMing with a moderator, he said that he forwarded it to the right departement and this might happen. i don't mind paying 5 $ for flash 10.1

Anyone can "dual boot"(boot without any effect to the already installed Maemo 5) MeeGo right now on your N900 if you want, but it isn't in a condition where end users would expect their OS to be.. hence "for developers".

To dual boot MeeGo now, you have to connect the phone to a computer with a USB cable and temporarily load the kernel when you want to boot MeeGo. "Easily dual boot" will remove the need for this.

Some people might've had the idea that when your PR1.3 OTA update is installed, you're greeted with a fancy menu asking which OS to boot. No, MeeGo isn't included in PR1.3. Anyone(developer or not) can get an image and kernel from meego.com and try it, but it's not something the PR1.3 update does for you. It doesn't happen automatically, or with just a couple of clicks as "consumers" might expect.
