Only 128??????
If you look at the source where that figure was taken from... then think again how accurate that may be...

Like I said, it would be stupid to cripple the ram, but even if it is the case, I don't think it is a showstopper issue.

For me the deal breaker is going to be whether or not it has a functional web browser.

Edit: If true, whats the point of having FM radio? It just wastes space and battery life, it is a pretty useless feature nowadays. Seriously, is anyone going to be listening to radio when you can be listening to Pandora over 3G?

Where is the front facing camera
No front facing camera means no video chat?

That is one of the coolest feature of the N800 and the reason family members bought them.

Wait for it, as people have pointed out, cams and sensors can be easily placed under the front glass. Buttons are a bit harder, but we'll see

Or Rhapsody, or internet-radio stations, or ...

The _only_ reason I can see to have an FM receiver on any phone is:

If you've got an FM transmitter attachment on your iPod

And even that use case would be better done with an audio-in jack on the NIT, IMO.

Now, an FM transmitter on the NIT/phone would be interesting ... so you could do that same trick, without an external dongle. But a receiver? no.

Yes.. Especially since 3g sucks your battery! Now what is the problem if you have more options? If you dont like it dont use it.... For others it is very useful ... especially in developing countries where there is no 3g

Yeah, it clearly still has the factory installed screen protector on it (thus the silver tab). That could be obscuring from the camera whatever is under protector.

a) a FM receiver uses a (microscopic) fraction of power compared to Pandora over 3G which is almost a full-throttle thing. Oh, and it's $free$.

b) It has an FM transmitter. This way you can listen to it in a car without additional adapters. My car has no fancy-shmancy ipod dock or bluetooth option, so I certainly appreciate this

c) if you have a transmitter, a receiver is a no-brainer.

d) it might be part of a bundle (like the FM radio came in a bundle with the bluetooth chip in the N800). So, if it's there anyway, why not use it.

According to the test report the RX-51 does have both FM transmitter and receiver.

EDIT: So you can stream some internet radio station on the car and then transmit to your car stereo... That's what I would think is the use case...
