I looked last week. And thatnk you for confirming what I have been saying. There is nothing that people can use. By people, I mean somebody that might want to use it other than a developer.
So, why would anybody bother with it?
And do you honestly believe that MeeGo will/could have provided an image that would simply work on any netbook, or the n900, in two months? C'mon. Be serious.
What is there to show for this so far this year? Where are the hardware vendors queuing up to cut out their slice of the MeeGo action?
That is not insulting anybody's hard work.

are you suggesting that nokia hasn't been making money even when it has released crappy software and crappier support? nope, handset business with symbian has been profitable.

Any netbook? It works on a large number right now. All? No, mostly because hardware vendors have dropped the ball. N900? Yes, I believe there will be.
You're pretty much saying "they should just give up, as they have absolutely nothing to show for it and I can't load it on my phone and get 100% functionality right now" despite that never having been promised. Terribly misconstruing what MeeGo is about and harping on them doesn't help.

I misunderstood - MeeGo is not aimed at users, but hardware vendors. So, it is no use - to me or any other user. Why would I bother with that?

Actually I supplied some logical answers to your reasoning that Elop is a trojan horse (Acting against Nokia's interest) which you posed as questions "Why did elop put all eggs in..."
I'm arguing that it may be in Nokia's best interest afterall to take MS' offer at this point, and that Elop was not purely acting against Nokia's interests in brokering this deal.

And most signs point to a pending merger between the companies.
Extraordinary claims, require extraordinary amounts of evidence, and so far there is none, just a bunch of numbers which we all knew about, and which were expected.
We all knew that Nokia was going to lose market share since their strategy was long-term, whereas others like Apple and the various Androids are pushing short-term strategies.
If Nokia needed money so bad (which I doubt), they could've sold shares to the Finnish government. (this wouldn't benefit any shareholders in the short term, but it would've allowed Nokia to fulfill their promises to end users and employees)
There is also no doubt that an MS-Nokia merger is disastrous to the economy of such a small country.
