we don't need to add
/opt/scripts/cpu_sleep.sh * * com.nokia.mce.signal display_status_ind off

because when the call ends the system goes inactive
which means the
/opt/scripts/cpu_sleep.sh * * com.nokia.mce.signal system_inactivity_ind
command will do the job and set vfs back to 10

Nice and easy, should work

even if you checked the clock
vfs will turn to 100
then return to 10 when the system is inactive

inactive : if you don't press any button or no tasks that suck up the cpu are active then the system is considered to be inactive in that case

karam, system_inactivity_ind occur not only when the system goes inactive, but also occur when the system goes active, too. it show the status change from false (active) to true (inactive), or vice versa (cmiiw).

you could check it using:
dbus-monitor --system --monitor "interface='com.nokia.mce.signal'"
or, using:
/usr/sbin/dbus-script --system --debug "'interface='com.nokia.mce.signal'"

for the last command, execute it as a non-root user.

It seems those two files are delivered with package 'dbus-scripts', as both list the same author and both have the same timestamp, as well as the same content as when being extracted from 'dbus-scripts'. So they BOTH do not need to be included in battery-patch.

Second that.

Download betterypatch.tar.gz from attachments or from HERE

Download install-battery.sh.txt from attachments or from HERE

Paste Both Files in MyDocs
------------------------------------

you kow what MyDocs Means?
if you have used speedpatch you should know how to deal with this

MyDocs: is the root directory of the fat32 partition on N900
english: it is the directory that you see when you plug N900 to the computer with a usb
no sub directories

when you download the 2 files (tar.gz and .txt) you and paste them in MyDocs
you shouldn't have any troubles
and BTW you may wanna wait a bit cause the next update (which will not be very soon ) i'm planning to do a lot of changes with the battery tweak
but i will not change anything in speedpatch
Hi Karam. Thanks for your reply. Yes I did what you mentioned above yesterday. I had done the download method and saved it on MyDocs. Then deleted the 2 files since I couldnt get it to work to copy and paste when I plug the device into my laptop and just pasted it where the speedpatch file was which as you say is the first window I see when I open the n900 harddrive icon in "My Computer" via USB connection. I will still try to figure it out and will give an update. Definitely look forward to your next battery patch good sir! Thanks again for your reply!

There is nothing wrong with the device as such, just a **** battery and a lack of understanding of the notion that computer uses power when it is in use.

That and a COMPLETE lack of ability to read.
