when you lock the phone, the first time you need to double tap the power button.

If you then let it go black again, instead of opening it, then further activations can be done with a single tap.

(this is obviously reset back to 2 taps required if you do open the phone)

edit+: except now i always need to double tap it to activate.

this worked for me. when i disable forcerotation, it goes back to requiring only a single button press to unlock.

find another bug.... (in portrait mode)...
when you want to edit contact, by pressing a contact picture, while in portrait mode, you don't get all fields for input.... just a buttons for "add fields" and "save" and "delete fields button is left out" (but when you press "add field" button, contact app stops to response...)
BUT... while you are in landscape mod, and get to edit contact, you got shown all edit dialogue (as normal)... AND you turn your phone in portrait, than everything is normal (eg there are all fields for input...)

I noticed that when in portrait mode you turn the device another 45 degrees (so upside-down) the device go’s back to landscape-mode. This happens, for example, in the main menu. I think it should stay in portrait.

Yes I noticed this too. I agree it should stay in portrait mode or even turn further toghether with the phone.

i have a big problem after installing this all was fine, i done an update a while ago and edited the transition ini then after turning my phone on 1 day i was in a reboot loop, i thought as last resort i would reflash only to find y usb starting to play up & my computer not recognising the phone so after wiggling the usb around it was starting to pick it u[ untill the usub snapped off the n900 and i am still stuck in reboot loop and obviuosly cannot flash, i have also checked on nokia website & i am out of warrenty so not much chance of nokia helping me? i guess i am now screwed but any sugestions would be good?

Suggest what? Without USB you can't charge. Go to Nokia and get it fixed or sell it for parts and buy another phone.
