karam i have installed one of your previous speed patch with all the settings you provided like vfs=10 ,smartreflex=On etc ..
nice effect was there ,not sure about speedy N900 but yeah battery has surely been improved ,i charged my battery last day about 24 hours ago, phone was almost in standby mode, didnt do much with it and i am still getting 66% left .
now recommend me as if i should apply the new patch ,cuz i am so lost in your 1st post .so if you dont mind . please ! and also how to uninstall the old patch ?
And if you think the patch is perfect to have a perfect N900,can you simply attach the files in one post without pros and cons ?

@prankster
you don't need to install speedpatch again as i didn't do any updates for it

you only have to install the updated batterypatch
check the updtae date 5/8/2011
if you installed the battery patch before this date then reinstall the new one

and how to uninstall the old patch is written in the beginging of the page :

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
rm /etc/dbus-scripts.d/dbus-scripts-settings
rm /home/user/.kernel/ideal
kernel-config load default
kernel-config default default
mv /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/ideal.ORIG /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/ideal
apt-get install --reinstall dbus-scripts
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

BTW i will make both speedpatch and bettery patch as debs (but not so soon)

I still have nearly the same content for '/etc/event.d/dbus-scripts'

Code:
description "dbus-scripts"
author "Graham Cobb <g+770@cobb.uk.net>"

start on started hildon-desktop
stop on stopping hildon-desktop

console none

exec run-standalone.sh /usr/sbin/dbus-scripts --session

respawn
and '/etc/event.d/dbus-scripts-session', only difference is the header/description:

Code:
description "dbus-scripts-session"
author "Graham Cobb <g+770@cobb.uk.net>"

start on started hildon-desktop
stop on stopping hildon-desktop

console none

exec run-standalone.sh /usr/sbin/dbus-scripts --session

respawn
This can't be coincidence... Of course i executed "sudo apt-get install --reinstall dbus-scripts" before. The file 'etc/event.d/dbus-scripts' in file 'dbus-scripts' from package 'dbus-scripts.deb':

http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...s-scripts/2.0/
http://repository.maemo.org/extras-d..._2.0_armel.deb
Is totally different:

Code:
description "dbus-scripts"
author "Graham Cobb <g+770@cobb.uk.net>"

start on started dbus
start on started dbus-actdead
stop on stopping dbus
stop on stopping dbus-actdead

console none

exec /usr/sbin/dbus-scripts --system

respawn
I have to fix manually it seems...

EDIT: Guess what? If i delete '/etc/event.d/dbus-scripts' manually, "sudo apt-get install --reinstall dbus-scripts" does NOT bring that file back, for whatever reasons....

Only completely removing packages 'dbus-scripts' & 'dbus-scripts-settings', purging the configuration files, and reinstalling both helped.

hmm i expected that to happen
this means
PEOPLE WHO HAVE APPLIED THE OLD PATCH MUST DELETE IT THEN INSTALL THE NEW PATCH
DELET THE OLD PATCH WITH THIS CODE

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
rm /etc/event.d/dbus-scripts
rm /etc/dbus-scripts.d/dbus-scripts-settings
rm /home/user/.kernel/ideal
kernel-config load default
kernel-config default default
mv /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/ideal.ORIG /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/ideal
apt-get install --reinstall dbus-scripts
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

not exactly. keep my system clean.

it is more likely the 5000-6000minutes/mo of usage, the 2.5Gb 3/3.5G usage, 2000 sms, and 6 email addresses on IMAP syncing every 10 minutes, gvoice connection constant....

are you seeing i use my device and have not mentioned any games? lol

if i do nothing on my device, i get about 6-8+ hours ....but that is pretty much "nothing" afaik.

that is why i go through so many batteries.

edit: this doesnt include the wifi usage.

@karam

have you fixed your ideal settings yet?

edit:

@karam

my battery meter on the hildon-status-menu and the advanced-power still will not register any of my batteries. the only programs that are telling me my battery power are the qtbatterybattery widget & batterygraph
