Let's reiterate. Flash will not be part of a MeeGo update (ever), as it is a proprietary blah-blah-see-talk-about-license-blah-blah. Not even bog standard desktop linuxes are allowed to distribute it (ever wonder why that flashplugin-nonfree thingy has to DL something from Adobe ?). All MeeGo devices that WILL have Flash at some point will get it from Adobe or a partner company/vendor, NOT meego.com, the Linux Foundation, etc. That's how Flash works. Now, pause, and start the 'waaah'

EDIT: I didn't read everything you wrote correctly... my bad.

But still I'm leaning more and more towards Android

Is that what we did with Flash 9 on Maemo? I thought it was distributed by Nokia. IT's been almost a year so my memory fails me.

Yeah, in the very post you just quoted:

get it from Adobe or a partner company/vendor,
Nokia = Adobe's partner company/vendor. They pay Adobe, Adobe lets them put it on their device.

I thought he was trying to answer the previous question but I guess he was just making a statement. We already knew that it would have to be Adobe or Nokia that would make it available.

The question asked was how likely it would be for Adobe / Nokia to do that for the N900 platform.

It hasn't happened yet. Thus, I'd have to say never.

Actually I vaguely recall in this thread that one of the community heads was preparing a formal approach to TI to obtain licensing on all our behalves.
Or something along those lines, apologies if my memory fails me... Does anyone know what became of that?
