no ones arguing, we're just speaking as we find. Some people have spent a lot of money on it, others are locked into 2 year contracts. Taking or leaving isnt really an option

oh and apparently its not a phone its an internet tablet ; )

Oh come on. The last firmware came out 16th Februrary. Thats a month ago. Stable development and testing takes time.
We have had 3 firmware updates in just under 4 months. I think that's exceptional.

I agree. 1 major and 2 minor updates in last 2 months is pretty darn good.
If they bring PR1.2 by end of April, that's 2 major updates in 4 months.
What other phone do you get such frequent updates / bug fixes? None imo.

But I do hope that we do get fully functional OVI store and Turn by Turn navigation within next 2 months.

Unfortunately that does mean so-called "TOP" smartphones and their so-called polished OS just suck. I'd go for one if it doesn't, but there is no one.

The updates didnt bring us anything new except bugfixes,no new features. How is that exceptional? It is good but nothing special.Check other device's updates and compare them with the n900's updates and u'll see that the n900 is falling behind.

It probably doesn't matter to most but I made a few comments earlier about switching to a Nexus One. I did end up buying it and will be getting it in the mail tomorrow. Let me know if anyone is interested in knowing how the n900 compares to the Nexus One. I could write something up after playing with it for a few days.
