i only used the flash videos as a comparison because i think it was as close to streaming live video as there was out there.

I got ASF files recorded from a pvr playing through mplayer. that worked out pretty good.

I just noticed Nokia is promoting Hava on the Tableteer site, right next to Diablo.
Not sure how long it's been listed here but this is bound to raise it's profile, especially with the release of the latest firmware.

I would recommend it. $120 and 24 hr TV anywhere. Mind you, the A/V de sync is bad at this stage, hope it is going to be better.

This player also is accessible from the Tableteer link above, thru the Hava website. I wonder just how long this beta player has been available to the public? I.e. you don't have to register to be a beta tester to get it now.

Hava must be pretty comfy with it that it's gon public.

I don't have an HAVA, but looking in the deb, I see in /usr/lib some gstreamer libs, these could be interesting...

This is TDHAVA from the HAVA team. Just wanted to confirm that our beta is "open" now, albeit not publicly accessible from our website. Good for all of you to be members of internettablettalk.com!

This beta 3 is indeed very solid. The only reason we are not declaring it golden master candidate is because of a problem that surfaced late in the game with the firmware now released with the 1.7.4 HAVA PC software. We are working on resolving that, hopefully soon.

For now, avoid upgrading your HAVA to the new firmware of the 1.7.4 HAVA PC software. We are working on issues of bad A/V sync with it.

Thanks for testing HAVA Mobile Player for the Internet Tablet and for sending us your feedback at hava-n8xx@monsoonmultimedia.com.

Tablet-ly and HAVA-ly yours!

Dear Bunanson, thanks for communicating your details to hava-n8xx@monsoonmultimedia.com if you have not done so yet, so that we can try and figure out what is happening for you.

We are hearing a lot of very satisfied users re: our A/V sync working well, even in very long sessions, so something must be happening in your case that we might be able to better address in the future. How strong is your WiFi connection between your tablet and your router? If not strong enough, that could be causing some of your problems.

We look forward to working with you on the beta feedback system at hava-n8xx@monsoonmultimedia.com. Thanks!

Note: if you have been communicating with us on this recently but are waiting for a reply, please accept our apologies. Our key beta forum manager had to be out of the office for a few days unexpectedly and without internet access during that time. We should be caught up soon...

HAVA-ly yours!

Hi, I installed the latest player 0.48? And now the player is now having a 1/4 of the frame at the bottom, i.e., the top 1/4 is now at the bottom. Reboot does not fix that. Anybody has this problem?

Edit: The other way round. Problem solved with installation of the latest version 0.54.
Thanks.
