I'm referring to the reverse, use my AT&T phone as a modem and let the N900 connect to it via bluetooth to go online.

Trust me, I don't want to see vsync tearing on a device I'm planning to buy. This is a dealbreaker for me.

Quim assured us that all of the Pidgin protocols would be handled through telepathy-haze. So that means IM support for MSN, ICQ, AIM, Yahoo, and more.
ie. Using a AT&T 3G phone for data plan and then pair that with N900 via bluetooth; then go online on the N900.
I've been able to do this on all previous NITs.
