(but you'll need to photoshop away the black word in the middle)

I completely agree. I went through a lot of effort to make sure mine are all fully loopable.

How do you select the original dimensions?
It's the first time I've ever used Flickr ..!

Edit: It's obvious. I've found it. Thanks for pointing that facility out to me

Had a look at the site and I must say well done! Is there any sort of limit on file size for the images for the N900 to work properly?

I guess not but I am just having a play around in photoshop with 3200x480 image just using some basic gradient functions and I am getting file sizes of around 18Mb which isn't too bad. Just wondering if the transition between desktop screens will "jump" if it has trouble loading the image. I guess we all want the transition between desktops to be seamless. Any thoughts/experience with this?

I just have to figure out how to use Paint and split it into 4 parts now

I found some good ones of the Camp Nou of FC Barcelona for anyone who likes them too.

This one could possibly be made fully loopable but is a little boring I guess:

I'm no expert on photography, but I'd think that a compressed format like jpeg would reduce the file size at any rate?

Yes, but it reduces the quality at a dramatic rate. PNG should be preferred format for wallpapers.

I tend to agree, though I compressed all my images to JPEG with photoshop at quality 10, 3 scans, because the difference was so little, and looking the images on a screen with density of 260+ PPI makes it even harder to find any imperfection..
I do not reccomend to save in JPEG with Paint though!
