I'm mainly looking to have extra power when using mupen and an overall snappier operation of the phone. I'd also like to extend battery life when the phone is locked though. I assume a profile with limits of 125 and 850 would work well however I'm still confused with the differences of lv, ulv, xlv, and ideal.
What do you think would work best?

will different voltages influence the OCing ability? because when I'm using ulv xlv and Ideal at 900mhz my N900 reboots. I want to push it to 1ghz is it possible on my N900?
