It was my understanding there was no offiical annoucement from Nokia regarding Flash, nor for that matter Ovi maps, on meego/Nokia N900? How can you be so sure that we will never get Flash on meego?

I thought he was trying to answer the previous question but I guess he was just making a statement. We already knew that it would have to be Adobe or Nokia that would make it available.
The question asked was how likely it would be for Adobe / Nokia to do that for the N900 platform.

I'm not sure what the big deal is.
"... is there any chance we will get [Flash] on Meego 1.2 on the N900 in the April update? "
The fact that the MeeGo 1.2 distribution would likely not include Flash 10.1 is secondary to the question of whether or not Flash would get supported on MeeGo 1.2 I think is what is being asked. I think 1.2 is important because iirc 1.2 is the more functional consumer build vs 1.0 / 1.1 which are developer builds.
Actually I vaguely recall in this thread that one of the community heads was preparing a formal approach to TI to obtain licensing on all our behalves.
Or something along those lines, apologies if my memory fails me... Does anyone know what became of that?

Pardon my English, I interpreted get Flash as in, actually acquiring the binary.
Support itself is pretty pointless question,
as Maemo is a full-blown Linux, in that sense Maemo5 and MeeGo 1.0 already 'supported Flash 10.1' from day 1.
It's just that nobody released that Flash 10.1 on ARM architecture due to licensing reasons .
