1700 replies and nokia is still seating in front of their imacs , eating pop corn, and laughing at us .
well i can see the same thing for the n9 not getting flash 11, sometimes i just wonder why am i still using a nokia device .
and guess what, the nexus one, the device we almost got instead of the n900 is getting a gingerbread update.
so i invested my 540 $ in the wrong place .
i bet if maemo was on lets say htc or samsung, we would be dual booting official froyo by now.

Appropriately enough, there's a Gingerbread image being floated around for my Motorola Droid, too. A device that came out at nearly the same time as the N900. Indeed, you bought into the wrong device, if you wanted support.

naah, who cares about the nokia support ? if i want support i'll switch to an htc or something like that, but i just love maemo5, and i think that the n900 is the only device capable of coverring all my needs.
and plus the maemo5 community support is enough .

Well, that's fine for you--but thankfully, just as there are many people out there with their various personal preferences, there are a vast variety of choices in other manufacturers and devices. Thankfully, if you're on the Android platform, you have a variety of varieties--which seems far better and more varied than Maemo or iPhone.

@elie-7

Some Android devices can jailbreak a Ps3 and Android is open source (Maemo isn't fully open source.)

Maemo multitasking is the best though (imo)
