Mine always shows "10". So I guess there is something wrong. I'm at work so I can't think about this right now in order to fix it...

might remove script and re-apply is there anyway of running script but not add the profile?

looks like you didn't remove the old patch correctly
i updated the uninstalling codes but looks like nobody noticed

just enter this code :

apt-get install dbus-scripts

rmdir /opt/scripts
kernel-config load default
kernel-config default default
rm /home/user/.kernel/custom-karam
rm /etc/event.d/dbus-scripts-session
rm /etc/dbus-scripts.d/dbus-scripts-settings-by-karam

just copy and paste
and when purging and installing
say Y
PS : this has the commands for removing both the new one and the old one
and ignore any errors appears
and somethings might not be needed
but posted everything just in case

Then install the new one from 1st post

simply choose it:

profiles are from kernel-power-settings and have nothing to do with this patch, though karam gives info about it

I suggest to fiddle around the find the lowest values

and he said it's optional to use

cheers karam i followed the removal instructions from post 1 just now noticed at bottom of original post about removing your profile, scud battery has just arrived as well going to carry on using japod whilst i run the battery script

Still I suggest you to find your own profile, since I use slightly lower voltages on higher frequencies which means slightly less battery consume

You can just

leafpad /home/user/.kernel/yourprofile

and change and test

You were right my friend. Now it works. First time I didn't do the "apt-get purge" to "dbus-scripts". After what you wrote here, I tried to fix it and did something wrong (was not working but I was on the bus bouncing from side to side, so...).
Tried again and finally worked. I'm tired of work (mine, I mean). Thanks that you were there, Karam.

This is wrong; you do NOT replace the contents of '/etc/event.d/dbus-scripts-session' with this, which are the contents of 'dbus-scripts'. The contents of 'dbus-scripts-session' is different. Check again; i already wrote it in this thread.
