Hi

I recently received the file from TI, however i dont know if im what im doing is correct, I followed this Simple Install Guide:
1. Obtain file from TI
2. On a linux pc run the file(you will need to enable exec rights on the file)
3. Follow the installer and then go to the path specified in the installer and grab the libflashplayer.so
4. Copy libflashplayer.so to somewhere on your n900(via ssh or via mass storage mode)
5. sudo gainroot
mv /usr/lib/browser/plugins/libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/browser/plugins/libflashplayer.so.bak
if copied to mass storage: cd /home/user/MyDocs/
cp libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/browser/plugins/libflashplayer.so
6. start the browser and it should all work

the only step i didnt do is step 2.

however before i was able to watch iplayer for example but now its slow.

regards

Apparently performance is less than stellar. As noted before, the version 10.1 implies nothing of what actual acceleration is (not) used, i.e. 10.1 *can* be faster in *certain* use-cases on *some* implementations but does not *guarantee* better performance in general.

Sorry for the delayed response, I'm subscribed to this thread on a weekly basis.
I don't suppose you could elaborate upon what exactly eventuated?

As-I-recall it was one of the community managers (u/n escapes me), he was going to get back to us about it.
Haven't heard anything from him on this thread since, unless I missed it.

Thank-you.

Guys the flash 10 from TI is leaked now. You can find it just search at google using key "download maemo libflashplayer.so from ti" it should be available on second page search.

Anyway based on my testing, the flash 10 only can be utilized via microB not from Mozilla Firefox. Not sure why firefox not managed to detect the plugin.

From microB, all the flash content will have red line on the top. Plus for those website that running fully flash 10, it will keep reloading the page once we touch to any link or tab in flash, same goes to www.flashearth.com.

The best right is using the tweak flash, the flash plugin from TI, its TOTALY not ready to be utilized even though its NOT Hardware accelerated by right it shouldn't have the bug on reloading or looping once you click on any tab or link.

That's been answered in the past... and unfortunately the answer is no.

Opera doesn't support plugins outside of their javascript engine.

For Firefox, need to enable manual in order to enable the flash.
Under URL key in about:config, search plugin.make sure the below 2 option is set to FALSE.

i) plugin.default_plugin_disabled
ii) plugin.disable

Using flash 10 from TI with Firefox cause the browse to be automatically closed once you click to any tab or link in web that running flash 10 such www.wix.com and same scenario goes to www.flashearth.com.

The best is using Firefox with the tweakflash.
