I'm expecting everything about the hw to be mediocre/disappointing, I accepted that likelihood some time ago.
I just hope TOH turns out to very useful in correcting much/some of that...

Now this is interesting and good news, at least for me:

Question on Twitter:

@JollaHQ what will happen if you use a black picture with ambience?"

Jolla´s answer:

While I like the user interface and the Ambience-feature, I sometimes feel that the display can get a bit crowded or messy. I can also see that some people who are accustomed to the clear colours and structures in other operating systems can be put off by the look of Sailfish. It is really nice to know that you can have a clear, black blackground like in N9. I have speculated with the idea, but it is nice to have it confirmed.

Unless I am massively wrong, what you get is a picture of a cat as your bacground. What were you after, a dog?

It's quite funny how this discussion is still (pointlessly) going forward yet no one has mentioned Jolla CEO's tweet stating the launch date will be announced at Slush 2013
