The *ULTIMATE* Tab 'accessory'. Intrdoucing the Samsung 9-series laptop

http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/05/s...e-macbook-air/

I think this laptop is simply beautiful, and around the same cost as the MBA. The design is bold, but not crazy. The specs are incredible as well, though it has a smaller SSD than the MBA. It makes up for it with a stronger CPU (though weaker GPU), more RAM, backlit keyboard, etc.

I have dreams of sticking Ubuntu on this beast. Amazing.

Don't mind Dan

VLC is a movie player that is reputed to have very complete container and codec support for digital video and audio. There are few files that VLC cannot play, and it does so very well on the PC.

It has been confirmed for Android in early 2011.

In fact, head on over to videolan.org to download the player for Linux/Win/MacOSX. It's also available for iOS too!

This is pretty cool.

The new EyeFi SD card for cameras, can be paired with Android devices, to wirelessly and seamlessly transfer your shots to your device (eg. the Tab) right after they are taken!

Click the link for a demonstration:
http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/06/e...let-in-seconds

They claim it takes a few seconds for the transfer, which is encouraging.

This is really cool for somewhat serious photographers that need quick functionality on the road. Take a shot and share it in moments, do some quick editing, or otherwise eliminate the 'syncing' step.

I didn't have to count them. I simply typed 'wc -w' on the command line and pasted your posting. Now you know about 'wc' (word count). Helpful enough for you?

Blimey!

So that's a 4G version with improved specs AND a wifi only version.

My question is: Where is the tab 2?
It seems everybody is releasing a tablet in the next six months and Samsung don't want to get left behind.

Honeycomb looks dreamy!
