Hmm, if you have installed at the moment, or short time before, that decrease, maybe it's due to that. Check if after that it gets stable when idle. Also, you can check the vfs_cache_pressure value (check two pages or so back). Do you have Swappolube & Power Kernel installed? If so, do you use proposed values (swappolube) and karam's profile (included by default with the installation of this battery-patch)?

I have kernel-power-settings. I did it step-by-step with the guide. I had swappolube even before, on proposed values. And using karams profile. vfs_cache_pressure value resulted in a solid 100..

I've been testing the battery patch and it definitely works. For me, "stand by" time is normal usage: calls, and SMSs. For testing the patch, I did not connect to Wifi and/or 2.5G (I do not have 3G).

And it took 50% of my battery in ~27hours.

Even though I do not care much about my battery life (I always have a charger with me) I wanted to test it and post some feedback.

thank you lsolano fot the graph

i need some one to test something :

-----------------
sudo gainroot
-----------------
cp /root/.profile /home/user/
------------------

and see if any better performance or less performance occur

if you wanna reverse just :
--------------------------------
rm /home/user/.profile
--------------------------------

cause i'm making .deb and i wanna test any ideas in my mind

Testing already. This is regarding speedpatch, right?

If it's solid 100, and you did sleep and cat value of vfs_cache_pressure when on idle, and even then it was 100, you have something bad applied, I guess.

guys, when you post your batterygraph graphs, always display voltage, CPU, connection and charge. It makes diagnosing issues much easier.

@jpala16
it's actually should improve speed patch

i don't have my N900 now so can't test anything

but i have tested that before and it gave me better results (not sure yet)

so i need some one to test it before a i make .deb

BTW: will echo (something) show the (something)
in hildon-application-manager ?
idk if it does
this is the first deb i make anyway

and i will have to dump the transtions.ini and the custom profile
or i will have to make a gui (which i'm horrible with)

Hey karam.

Sorry for delay, almost 50 posts behind

We do not need that trigger (on display_status_ind on), as the device gets unlocked when a call arrives, which already will set the pressure value (on tklock_mode_ind unlocked).

So just doing this thing twice. But it does not harm...

Well, not quite good news.

After my "test" I decided to use my phone normally, so I connected to WiFi, and my battery drained incredible fast. I'll keep testing.
