Yes, just opened X-Term and got 166, then started UKMP and while loading I launched the command again and got 388.54

- About product is still "unknown"
- Skype installed well but shows "N810"

Cheers thanks for the help,

So far my only issues with OS2008 is:

Xchat (much better than the other integrated IRC clients, I used Skyhuskers on bora, I have tried doing a standard compile on Chinook SDK and could compile Xchat but it doesn't run correctly and the buttons are too close together and can't connect to an IRC server)

Maemo Mapper is a must for me as well, and I can't seem to get it to work on OS2008

Repositorys don't seem to be compleatly up to date yet ( I couldn't install pidgin till I added a repository for mistral from maemo hackers, I also have a massive distaste with installing repository's for a different distro onto another distro, just comes across as messy house keeping)

No FM tuner (but I would imagine it would be in OS2008 final for N800

Samba browsing doesn't seem to allow me to add in a password for a found samba server and displays a blank folder.

BUT..

most of my issues are 3rd party related and it isn't fair to lay these onto the N800 OS2008 beta, for what its designed to do browsing the web email and all that kinda stuff out of the box its fine.

All that said, I love my n800 and the OS's and wouldn't be here if I didn't!

thanks to all the devs working on the N8XX OS's makes me love it even more.

Did you ever try to configure an MSN (or whatever) transport over the standard chat client? Works great for me

Anybody manage to get soft poweroff working correctly? I opened a bug, perhaps some of you could do some testing to confirm? Kinda disappointing, as soft poweroff was an important feature.

My N800 refused to unlock for the first time last night. It's only happened once so far, but it didn't happen to me with the leaked N810-18 firmware that I used for a while.

Has anyone else had that happen?

One thing I have found with the skype issue is that if I flash the new n800 os2008 beta by unpacking and flashing the zimage, inifs and rootfs on linux with flasher3 seperatly (as per hacked 810 os2008 firmware install) then skype will install without issue.

If I just do a straight flash using the bin package then skype complains and says I need a newer 810 firmware.

Previously I have had the 810 os2008 firmware flashed onto my device.

I've noticed during an R&D boot with the info displayed that it reports initfs RX-44
I can't remember what it said before but shouldn't it be RX-34 not RX-44 if mine is an N800...?

Any ideas?

Just a quick thought but I might try flashing back to an original os2007 and then go up to 0s2008 beta to see if that changes anything when I get home later

Greetings:

I installed the 2008OS and here are the following problems:

Skype does not install
Also I find that the actual viewing screen is smaller.

I hope the developers will begin to add their programs in the repository.

Regards Robert
