My assumption is that they don't want people ordering right now because of the inaccurate radio/carrier information in the product description. If too many AT&T customers buy it, get pissed about the lack of 3G and return it that would suck for Amazon, too.

The page with pre-order buttons is back and looks unchanged to me.

Did anyone else notice it says now that it has haptic feedback? I swear I hadnt seen that said anywhere else.

indeed, it is back. wonder if amazon got another confirmed shipment from nokia...that allowed them to put the n900 back on the page.

As its been stated before - pre orders from Amazon do not come directly from Nokia.

True, but Amazon can only sell as many units as Nokia sends them, just like any other online or physical retailer. So there's no point in taking pre-orders for guaranteed on having the product within the first week if you don't have the product to send.

That's anyone's guess given Nokia's history with pre-orders for these kinds of things..

They're getting closer. Although the carrier compatibility chart is still wrong I think they are listing the correct WCDMA frequencies now.

And the pre-order button is gone again.
