It wouldn't surprise me if Vlad at endgadget got his pointers to this on the Chronicles of n900

So the the lack of communication and updates to the Nokia site don't bother at all.
I find it very amusing that Peter posted the news of the November delay here in these forums first and then people come back to these forums with links from other websites which got their news from these forums (and didn't attribute their sources, ie the post from Peter here in these forums) and start new threads.

Funny. Sad, but funny.

(EDIT: evilm0nkey, Vlad, shame on you for not linking to these forums. Bad journalism!)

After speaking to mobile phones direct (UK) they give a shipping date of the 16th November, but I agree everyone seems to have a different date!!

After initially reading the N900Blog and not seeing any link to our thread/forum, I posted a nice little comment for the jackass with a link to the exact thread where Peter posted his comment, not to mention I told him he needed to link his quotes, He made it initially sound like Peter had emailed him directly and two days after I posted the link, he changed a few sentences and finally linked our thread.

Dumbass was just doing it so he'd get more people to visit his blog and somehow convince them that he had some kind of direct communication with Peter.

Only reason I can think of, of why it's delayed is because hardware feedback they got from the majority of users of the '300'

Hmmm...reminds me a movie!

Nokia marketing slogan:

300...never again will they'll be so many devices!
I doubt very much if its a hardware issue. More likely software tweaks. I think its great that they listened to the 300. Two weeks I can wait for a more stable device

Well I dropped into the London Nokia store, no N900 on display and they said November before it comes.
At least this time they seemed well informed and everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet.

I would consider that a good thing. I'd much rather they post a date *later* than the actual launch than continually post earlier dates, as apparantly Nokia DE has been doing. Nokia UK has always just said 'November' to me, without any actual date attached to it.

Here in italy the release date on the shop nokia was

28/10/2009

now is

"online as it happens".

I agree with You, a late date is better than a continuously delayed date but I find this differences between countries frustrating.

Until the last delay, the Italian shop was saying 28/10, the German one: "end of October", the UK one: "November", the French one: "no word".

Who said "globalizzation" ?

Heh, can't say as I blame them. Ohhh, and I think that's the same way they deliver the mail there too!
