guys, I don't know what to do with this n900 anymore. all the time random reboots. 7th or 8th time in two days.
please help. it's really getting on my nerves.

Rang MPD they said take it to Nokia Retail in Banbury. Rang Nokia Retail they said no you cant. Rang Nokia Customer care they said ring Banbury.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Starting to go off this phone. Oh and the Nokia customer services dont know how to work this phone.

11/12 became the proud owner of handset no2

If you bought the phone from MPD then the buck stops with them. This is standard UK Sale of Goods Act. It is unfortunately quite common for retail staff not to understand their legal obligations. The device should be sorted by the point of sale not the manufacturer. In the past I have found quoting the relevant section of the Sale of Goods Act helps and very occasioanlly a threat of court action is required. If you want some backup then the local trading standards office (see yello pages etc) should be able to help and maybe even intervene on your behalf.

I've had a few random reboots and funnily enough all seem to be using MicroB and this site in particular. Also seems to make no odds which connection type I have too. Everything totally stock repositories too.

I've had similar observations. reboots anyway but when surfing here, reboots occur noticeably more often.

Complete Newbie how do I find out why it reboots? Went during a call this morning. Also went while downloading that weather app thing.

try

cat /proc/bootreason

if it is 32wd_to, it means hw watchdog and it is complete mystery. sw_rst is caused probably by some software.
