Well....If u read the Thread from the start You would had not missed ME.....LOL

I had bought 2 N900(preordered from Uk and one from UAE) arrived in Dec..and since than proud owner of it from MUMBAI!!!

I use MTNL 3g...and it works wonder!!! awesome speed and now they have spread to all over mumbai!.....
Well The UK one has been upgraded to PR1.2 ....mine still waiitng for its release! any help let me know....

Well you can count me in as wel.....N900 owner in mumbai...i hv it since jan. Am usinng vodafone, would love to use mtnl 3g but cant change my no since hv been using it more than 10 years...may be no portability comes i will. i am using vodafone mobile connect. 250 Rs 100Mb per month. for now its ok...i am using nokia messaging and GPs as well.

nokia messaging....well i guess i missed it....Is there a App for it or its an inbult thing! update it for me plssss...

Nokia Messaging is inbuilt into N900 unlike any other Nokia Phones. You dont need to install it. You jus click on mail icon and then from list of providers you should see nokia messaging. And from there you add whichever accounts u want. I have added gmail and hotmail....and i get mails almost instantly.

PS: You need data package for this so when it comes to vodafone u require vmc and it wont work with live !

well...i dont get gps signal here...but it downloads maps...strange

i use vodafone live monthy package ...but i cant use conversations app..lol..
i find the gprs plan cheap for interne t usage..but i guess that vodafone mobile conncet will be expensive...
so any ideas how to enable vodafone mobile connect...i stay in mumbai

Oh..So its for mails....Well I use the straight forward mail setting provided for all the email provider..i use gmail and my Company account!
I thought Nokia messaging was kinda similar Blackberry messenger(BBM) where we can be in touch with friends......does nokia provide that features...!!!

gps,conversations nothing will work at all with gprs(live).
you need a data pack connection for this(vmc).
The one i am using is 250rs for 100 MB i m fine with with for now since nothing else is available. Guess 3g on mtnl gives 300-400rs for 1gb.

Bro....any network in 2G....i personally used 699Plan 1GB for vodafone and it sucked big time,wasted my money for months...But yy that time MTNL 3G came as GOD to me...

I know by the time 3G arrives in India...new Nokia N900 model will come up..so why miss the fun!
