I hope you have figured how to add folders inside other folders. If not I can tell you, because it is easier to manage menus with this.

How can this be done through apmefo.I have setup the following layout by custom modifying the menu file:

Name: img1.jpg
Views: 403
Size: 22.1 KB
Name: img2.jpg
Views: 413
Size: 19.9 KB

If this can be achieved through apmefo then I will switch to using this app.

Are the icons used by Catorise/Application Manager usable and if so, where can I find them?

Yes it is usable. you can find the icons at /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/hildon/

If you want different icons then copy them to /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/hildon/ then you should be able to use them using Apmefo.

I am still having same issue that I am not able to add any apps to folders. I am able to create folder. I have installed Catorise and uninstall them before installing apmefo but I suspect Catorise is messing something up. I read somewhere saying Catorise use System wide hildon menu and apmefo uses user specific hildon menu.
I have manually edited the submunus (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=37874&page=11) now.

My menu look like this

The thing is they're not in that folder.

@Metalov did you uninstall Catorise? if so then icons also will be removed as part of uninstallation. If you want Catorise icons then you have to install it and make a copy of /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/hildon/ to user space (/home/user/MyDocs) which will have Catorise icons as well. then uninstall Catorise and copy the icons back to original location, now you will have Catorise icons. hope this help you.

@cmsjkung Try this
have you got rootsh installed? if not installed it first.

open xterm
sudo gainroot
apt-get remove apmefo
apt-get clean
apt-get autoclean
apt-get upgrade -y
reboot

then after reboot:

open xterm
sudo gainroot
apt-get install apmefo
apt-get clean

hope this would work.

I didn't uninstall Catorise, no. I've browsed throughout the whole folder on my desktop PC a few times already and didn't notice those icons. Would you be so kind as to provide their names if you can see them there?
