exactly.
and the N9 logo when the keyboard is slided out is to remind you to use it then primarily in landscape mode.

The mechanism used on N97, N97 mini is super sturdy and proven to work for long time. I like the idea of just flipping the keyboard out and not to have anymore of moving parts.

I liked it alot on the N97 mini i was using for a month. Hard to say yet how will it do on a heavier and bigger device. For now it's positive thing to me but we will see.

I've typed on my wife's N97 and the keypad feels absolutely amazing but about the tilt, it eliminates the need for a stand. Typing at that angle is great. There's also this great 'snap' sound when you open it up. You wouldn't know the feeling unless you've played with an N97. An adjustable hinge would make the phone far too thick as well.

if it's got enough mass storage and working usb host I wouldn't mind if it's missing a microsd card slot ...

PS : oops looks like it's got one microsd slot from zehjotkah post below ...

Plus it literally just feels good to open and close it. Never bought N97, but I still stop and play with the damn hinge mechanism like a child, when I see N97 on display in electronics stores.

That kind of oldskool mechanical engineering is so rare these days.

I dig the whole metallic plastic look for these. Very slick looking phone, all-around.

exactly at this photo, under the sticker "HW0724" from outside.
the back cover is closed by screws so no under the cover.

Visually disecting the internals of a cellphone is hard to do based on pictures...Also along that line of thinking where does the SIM card go? SIM card & MicroSD slots are usually in close proximity on Nokia phones.
