All that linux stuff that google striped out is stuff I would use regularly and make the $25 monthly premium worth it to me. I am not bashing Android, iOS, or WP7. use whatever suits your needs, I know what suits my needs and it is not those.
What sort of "use a computer" way are you getting out of the N900 that you don't think you can get on an Android device right now?

Man, you weren't around for the hell-storm that ensued when they moved the D-pad off the side of the N800 to throw it down into the keyboard area on the N810's... and for the completely MISSING dpad maelstroms that followed here on the ITT and TMO forums, huh?

I wouldn't know from where to start.
All "standard" Linux CLI tools?
Bluetooth/USB tethering, masqurading, routing setup with power-kernel and with "standard" Linux-tools and config-files?

Android is for sure not a fully qualifyed computer or linuxOS like the maemo/meego is.

no X11
totally different UI framework.
non sandard packet manager.
no glibc

the list can be long. Android is halfbacked linux with alot of apps.

thats why meego is better choice atleast for me...

there is still no replacement for my n900.

No anddroid today cant compete with it not even the hw. the qwerty based androids today looks like crap to me...

Even N900 is too thin, considering how its battery is too small.
Without Mugen battery (or back cover) I couldn't use my N900 so well.

I heard Chuck Norris will get one if it has slide-out qwerty and Dalvik VM so he can run Android-apps.
