Bold is my own emphasis... no is quite an absolute.

You are obsessed about absolutes.
Wait. What?

There's power in a brand name. And one that's been the top dog for 15 years, that's as long as some folks on this board can remember.

I'm a bit older, so brands like Atari, Coleco, Sinclair, Amiga, Pan Am all still ring well with me years and years later.

My point, discount Nokia as much as you wish, their name has worldwide recognition. You say cellphone in any other country, they invariably mean Nokia. The North American market is of course the oddity for the most part (more each day) to basically have relegated Nokia to cheap flip phones and candy bar phones that your grandmother still might own/use, but let's be honest. That's just here in the North American (and Japanese) market.

Outside of that, where the other 5+ billion folks live, Nokia is a strong brand.

Regardless, I get your point. Shame you don't get mine.

Nope. Bet that EU will step in, slow things down on the Euro side, FTC will slow things down on the US side.

So... if it were to happen, it wouldn't happen before 2012 to be considered a fully done deal, imho.
