I think he is marking read posts that way.
Actually it is two things;
  • firstly any post that seems to be somewhat relevant and contain information on topic deserves thanks IMHO,
  • and second, yes; @Bundyo guessed it right, I also this way keep track on what I have read

"juiceme woz 'ere"

Regarding the first point, let me guess: you have young kids, correct?
"Reward good behaviour, ignore bad" is the common parenting advice.

I can confirm. I can also confirm that this only affects the on-screen keyboard in Terminal. It works fine when logged in through SSH.

Did you file the bug on TJC, Schturman? I could not find it although that is hardly surprising: searching on TJC is a pain.

No, I didn't post on TJC... Maybe in official release it will be fixed.

If Jolla finds out about it that is.

I am in two minds about reporting Aurajoki bugs. On one hand you are right, it is not an official release and there have been calls by some people (although note not by Jolla itself) to stop reporting bugs. On the other hand, if we don't, then Jolla is on its own to find and fix them. Since there is (as far as I know) no transparent way of checking which bugs are known to them, it is safer to assume that none of them.

look the fingerterm on openrepos, in changelog it say v1.1.23. and probably updated by Pekka Vuorela and pacaged by lourens. Maybe it already fixed and we will get it in the next update.

Has anyone worked out how to restore, yet? Esp. if using a backup from J1 to JC? I've looked around and seen that there's some issues, but I can't even see how to trigger a restore, let alone work out what works and what doesn't.

Not sure anyone mentioned this yet. Another extremely annoying bug seems to have been (finally!) fixed in Aurajoki. Because the Messages app does not have the forward feature, I always had to resort to copying the SMS to the clipboard and then pasting in the composer to send it on. But whatever I tried, there was no way to clear the clipboard afterwards. "Clear" did not work, placing something else in the clipboard did not work, resetting the keyboard did not work... the copied SMS would stubbornly persist in the clipboard. The only way out that I found was a reboot. It was 100% reproducible. And now it is fixed! Hurraaaa!!!!
