No.

Do a friggin search, its honestly not hard to search this thread for dev instructions on how to install the UNSTABLE version..

Click the "Search This Thread" button and then search for commands, a very detailed installation guide was posted, so common courtesy for you to search for it instead of demand for another post for instructions..

Hi everyone,

1st of all, would like to congratulate and thank Tgalal for his work and generosity, and everyone else that has contributed with their time and work, Thanks!!!

Now just want to give some feedback, hope it might somehow be useful... So as many people here, I've gotten the fail-too-many error over and over and over... and I'm not here to ask for help, cause I searched the thread looking for the topic and found out that has happened to many people here, and there is no certain solution except I think to email whatsapp staff...
Well, now I'll get to the point, some said that is error is probably due to registering to many times, exceding the amount of sms's you can get for registration... well, I only activated my account for the 1st time in february, in my N8... and then 2 now on the N9, both of them were a few months back... like may I think. Then it was always working fine, even after updating to PR 1.3, I restored everything from a backup, and didn't even had to register... but then I installed Nitdroid, and installed whatsapp from the play store just to try it out of curiosity, and after I activated saw the UI and played around a bit... I rebooted into MeeGo, and then when I'm trying to log in, it tells me I must delete my account from the accounts app, and re-register... and then after deleting the account, that's when I 1st ever got the fail-too-many error... I kept trying all types of solutions people said here, like instaling v 0.1.8. and doing the country code trick... I even ran whatsapp on nitdroid again, deleted my account, didn't login try to log in in either OS, and then tried again to register with wazapp, still fail-too-many...
Now the funny thing... I re-flashed the phone, erased user data, reinstalled everything, tried registering again only to get fail-too-many one more time.... then after that reinstalled nitdroid... installed whatsapp, and for some reason, in Nitroid I can always register... I don't even get an sms, it just asks me for the no. and then it logs me in... and I was able to chat to my mothers no. on the N8... I then deleted many times the account and re-registered on nitdroid without any problem?
What do you guys make of this?? do the whatsapp server have anything against symbian? since wazapp identify's itself as symbyan os... does it favour android? as I said, I tried deleting the account on nitroid... leave inactive for 24 hours... tried registering in wazapp, hoping that maybe the server would "notice" same number, but different OS, so "different phone", but nothing, still faill too many... Went back to nitdroid... and everythin peachy...

Sorry for writing so much guys... hope any one has any ideas as for why this happens...
maybe the servers recognize the genuine whatsapp software from wazapp... I don't know...
I even thought of renewing the account paying the 1 dollar LOL, but my account is still valid until FEB 2013... so.. I figure I'll just wait till august, and if I can't register with wazapp... I'll just pay the 1 dollar.
In the mean time, if someone know of any other things I can try... Please advise.
Thanks.

I have an update for CepiPerez, tgalal, knobtviker, and others who are working on the app. I contacted Whatsapp ages ago asking about file size and the file filetypes supported for file transfer since we were discussing that back then and here's their reply after so long:

"Ryan, Jul 17 16:28 (PDT):
Hi,

Thanks for your reply. If you can play/display the file on the native media player on your phone, you should be able to send it via WhatsApp. We do not support PDF files or DOC files. There may be support for other file types in the future, but we cannot comment on future plans or give timelines. The maximum size limit on videos should be 12 MB, for pictures it is based on resolution size (WhatsApp will downsample the image if it is too large). Hope that helps and we're happy to answer any questions you may have.

Best,
-Ryan

WhatsApp Support Team"

Thought it might help.

Installing Wazapp developer versions from Github howto:

requirements:

1. latest official Wazapp installed ( http://wazapp.im/ )
2. Filebox installed ( http://store.ovi.com/content/204982/download )
3. N9 QTweak installed and hack H activated ( http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=80600 )

steps:

1. quit Wazapp from within the app (menu -> quit)
2. delete /home/user/.wazapp/*.db file (using Filebox or term)
3. download latest dev .zip from wazapp github ( https://github.com/tgalal/wazapp/zipball/dev )
4. extract .zip on Your pc
5. delete wazapp & wazapp_init files from that client folder
6. now zip only /client folder with all subfolders & structure
7. transfer it to Your N9
8. open rooted Filebox (password: rootme) and move that .zip to /opt/waxmppplugin/bin/wazapp folder
9. extract .zip in that folder accepting to overwrite all existing files
10. open terminal, enter devel-su, then rootme as the password
11. execute command: apt-get install python-dateutil and wait ( Packagename was wrong in previous description)
12. execute: cd /opt/waxmppplugin/bin/wazapp
13. execute: chmod 755 *
14. exit terminal
15. start Wazapp from Your homescreen
(16. if Wazapp doesn't start -> reboot + step 15)

p.s.: deleting that .db file in step 2 means deleting Your chat history, so bear that in mind

(Thanks to @TMavica and @knobtviker and Zelig)

Please fix this..

Wazapp DOESN'T require FULL privileges!

It requires 755, and that's it, no more no less.

So the correct code for step 13 is

Code:
chmod 755 *

I know its a work in progress, this is just meant to be a warning for people who want to try this, so please do not complain here later, you have been warned.

I tried the zipball yesterday(0.2.6.50), and it froze on a group chat and also emoji was not working. Contact list scrolling was not smooth. Change status button does not do anything yet. On the positive side, the look and feel of the app is much improved. On the UI side, I feel that the height of the text input box in conversations can be made less, similar to the builtin messages app.

I was giving it a try just to get a taste of how group chat was working, and if it was usable I would have kept it at the dev version, I did not really mind the other minor issues like emoji.
